TMG Consulting Helps Delaware with Future Gaming
On January 5th, TMG Consulting presented the findings of their wide-ranging, large-scale gaming analysis to the State of Delaware. TMG’s Gaming Division, including Suzanne Leckert, Nick Farrae and Mimi Tsai, forecasted the potential impact of new out-of-state competition on existing operators and made recommendations for optimizing revenues to the State.
After evaluating all of the responses to the comprehensive Request for Proposals, the Delaware Sports and Video Lottery Gaming Commission selected TMG Consulting. The firm was then given a very short window to conduct the study (less than 6 weeks), necessitating a true team effort. The study required a thorough analysis and modeling of the gaming market not simply within Delaware but also Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, West Virginia and New York. The impact on gaming revenues, state revenues, the racing industry and the creation of new jobs in the state were also evaluated in the report.
At the January 12th meeting of the Delaware Sports and Video Lottery Commission, the Commissioners voted to accept the TMG Consulting study. The Commission will be delivering their recommendation to the full Delaware Legislature in the coming weeks and days, with the hope of delivering a bill to the Governor’s Office before the end of this legislative session.
TMG Consulting has performed gaming market studies and generated revenue estimates over the past ten years for casino and racetrack casino developments across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Central America. The firm also provides services to airports, local and state government, business and industry. These services include market assessments, public sector revenue/development impact assessments, economic impact studies, land use and master planning, capital improvement programming and management, zoning analysis, environmental assessment and coordination, benefit-cost analysis and other services.
Over the past year, TMG Consulting has also completed a number of projects for private clients in the Northeast. The firm is well positioned to help clients in the region and elsewhere across the country, as plans are made to battle the competition or enter a new marketplace.
